For now.

➔ Made in the rain

Gramm, the innovative streetwear brand known for its boundary-pushing designs and forward-thinking approach, recently celebrated the release of its 'For now' collection with a two-day cultural exchange event in Lisbon. The event aimed to connect the brand with Lisbon's creative landscape and offer visitors a unique insight into the cultural landscape of Manchester, the birthplace of the brand.

The highlight of the event was the Manchester Archive room, a dynamic installation that offered a compelling window into the city's illustrious past and its enduring influence on the cultural landscape of the UK and beyond. Visitors were undoubtedly captivated by the rich tapestry of Manchester's cultural heritage showcased in this exciting presentation, which featured a captivating visual montage of music videos, interviews, and other cultural artifacts.

Notorious Wavey Garms, a London legend, hosted an outstanding photo exhibit that showcased a time before iPods, when the tape pack reigned supreme, playing One Nation sets until the cassettes unravelled. Being underage but trying (and sometimes succeeding) to sneak into Jungle raves. The exhibit was a stunning display of the days before buses had CCTV, when the top deck was more like the Wild West.

As part of the pop-up event, the OG mural artist Terrible Kid provided a live public art display, showcasing the enduring influence of street art on contemporary fashion. Brazilian-born artist Luiza Potyr also offered a tattoo station where visitors could reimagine classic Gramm designs in ink.

The Gramm pop-up event in Lisbon was a testament to the brand's commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary streetwear and celebrating the intersection of fashion and art and featured live DJs from the collective, as well as Lisbon's beloved  Bacchanalia Soundsystem.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Gramm is the streetwear brand that is setting the fashion scene ablaze in Manchester's rainy city. With its urban, casual collection, Gramm embodies the spirit of inner-city Manchester and the youth culture that defines it.

Founded in 2015 by AK Williams, who grew up in the city and was frustrated by the lack of options to express his personal style, Gramm has become a go-to brand for those who want to capture the eclectic, vintage vibe of Manchester's Northern Quarter. Williams' vision for clothing that spoke to the city's culture has grown into a thriving business that is "for the Youth by the Yutes."
